FAQs of essiac tea Q. How long will the tea last in the refrigerator after I make it?
A. Recommendations are to discard any unused tea within 21 days because there are no preservatives.
Q. Which dose is right for me?
A. The suggested dosage is to start with two ounces. Use two ounces boiled distilled water before breakfast for at least the first two to three days, gradually increasing the total amount taken by two ounces per day every two to three days until you are up to six to eight ounces a day.
For example, two ounces before breakfast, two ounces before lunch and work up to two ounces before dinner. This gives your body time to adjust. Also, drink at least six to eight glasses of water (not juice, tea or other beverages) daily, if you can, to help flush the toxins from your body.
Q. Why should I continue to drinking the tea after I am cured?
A. As a preventative so your illness hopefully does not return.
Q. Can I drink the tea while taking Chemotherapy treatments?
A. Yes, in fact the tea will diminish some of the side effects of chemo treatments. Essiac can be used during radiation and after surgery. To my knowledge, the tea does not interact with any known medications or drugs.
Q. Can I give the tea to my dog?
A. Several people have used the tea for their pets and animals with success. Simply replace the animal's drinking water with a weak mixture of the tea. You can also use an eye dropper to inject directly in the mouth.
Q. Why do I have to put a bag over the glass container? And does the bag have to be over it even in the refrigerator?
A. The herbs are light sensitive. Yes, you should leave the bag over the jar.
Q. Can I add sugar to the tea to make it taste better?
A. No, use Stivia which is a natural sweetner from the Stivia plant. You can also use honey.
Q. Should I be concerned with the settlement in the bottom of the jar?
A No, This is good stuff. It is best to have some of this settlement in each cup of tea. Before you open your jar, gently turn it upside down a few times to stir up the settlement.
Q. Should I store the unopened jars of tea in the refrigerator?
A. That is up to you. I store mine in the cabinet until needed. But, once open put in the refrigerator.
Q. How long will the tea last once it is opened before spoiling?
A. You should discard the tea after 21 days due to no preservatives.
Q. While drinking the tea I have noticed headaches and other pains is this normal?
A. The herbs work fast and sometimes your body can't keep up or detoxify fast enough. You should lower the amount of tea your drinking and up the intake of water to help flush out the poisonous toxins. |
